The California Sweetpotato Council is a voluntary membership organization founded in 1977. Our main objective is to develop policies and programs that enhance the sweetpotato industry in California.
The Louisiana Sweet Potato Advertising and Marketing Commission is made up of 11 members, appointed by the Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry, to represent growers, shippers, processors and bankers. The mission of the Commission is to promote the consumption of sweet potatoes, in particular Louisiana sweet potatoes, by educating consumers on the yam’s many nutritional attributes and its amazing versatility in popular, delicious recipes.
The North Carolina Sweetpotato Commission Inc. is a nonprofit corporation made up of over 400 sweetpotato growers along with the packers, processors and business associates that support them. The sole purpose of the commission is to increase sweetpotato consumption through education, promotional activities, research and honorable horticultural practices among its producers.
